How is temporal order understood? Choose the strongest structural property. Leaving it open prevents the tool from guessing. Does the pattern recur? Recurrence may be simple, nested, ritual, or absent. What kind of intervals are available? This determines whether a measured axis is honest, approximate, symbolic, or prohibited. What anchors the model? An anchor may be a calendar, text, ritual, relationship, land, or present decision. How is the future represented? A model may terminate, renew, mature, branch, remain open, or avoid future mapping entirely. What scale must remain visible? Choose the scale that the interface must preserve without distortion.

2. Identify the evidence layerPrimary text, history, tradition, reception, reconstruction, or speculation

Which epistemic layer is being represented? The selected layer controls wording, styling, and source requirements.

3. Define the comparison boundaryAnalogy, partial overlap, contested equivalence, or non-comparability

What comparison relationship is permitted? Similarity does not imply identity. Choose the strongest relationship the evidence supports.

4. Set the publication gateAuthority, review, permission, or refusal

What publication authority exists? This is a publication gate, not an editorial preference.
